Steel City Showdown-April 17
The Steel City Showdown on April 17 is just around the corner!! The race organizers of the event had officially added Team H2Ope to the tailgate page! Visit, http://steelcityshowdown.com/tailgate.html.
We will be selling Starbucks Via 1 Cup packets, delicious hot chocolate, and yummy homemade baked goods! Come over to our booth to visit myself (Sara) and Larry, grab a bite to eat, and learn more about our cause! If you are 'on the fence' about attending, think about racing on the Pittsburgh bridges...when else would you get a chance like this?! We will be there from 7-2pm and racing!

Cleveland Metroparks Zoo Earth Day Festival-April 17
Andre and Trish will be presenting in Cleveland! Come stop by the Team Hope booth where we will have Blue Planet books, Blue Planet gear, and something else which I'll keep as a surprise right now...Team Hope is fortunate to be apart of Ohio's largest Earth Day Festival! Shifting Gears - Saving Lives Fundraiser at Panini's in Twinsburg-April 28
Team H2Ope is hosting 2 bar fundraisers which will include live bands, 50/50 raffles, Chinese raffles on donated prize items, and much more!! Save the date-April 28 8-11pm. Stay as long as you want! Tickets will be on sale soon for $10 which includes entry and buffet style food. School Girl Crush will take the stage as the night goes on making it a truly great night!

Pedal for the Planet Duathlon-Mercy Hurst College in Erie, PA-May 7
Team H2Ope members have been asked to attend the Pedal for the Planet Duathlon as the guest speakers of the event following at a luncheon at Mercy Hurst College. More details to come!

Cleveland Rite-Aid Marathon Cycling Volunteers from Team H2Ope-May 15
The Cleveland Rite-Aid Marathon is bringing back the wheel chair and hand cycle divisions to the race. John Squires, who lead the charge for his right to participate was in search for cycling and walking volunteers to help make the event happen. I lended my support to reach out to Cleveland-area cyclists to fill the volunteer roster. Andre will be one of those volunteers as I run the Cleveland-half marathon.

Start of an Epic Adventure Race Across America-Fundraiser at Bilo's Bar in Strongsville-May 21

Come out and support Team Hope as we prepare for Race Across America (RAAM) on behalf on Blue Planet Network. Tickets will be $20 which includes all-you-can-eat wings, rigatoni, salad, pop/coffee/draft beer. We will also have a 50/50 raffle, Chinese raffle, and gift baskets in an auction throughout the night! Around 8:30-9 pm the band Stiletto Overdrive will take the stage performing the greatest top 40 hits! Don't miss this great night for a great cause! This is our final send off before we travel to Oceanside, California to begin our cross-country bike race to Annapolis, Maryland!


Start of RAAM-Race Across America-JUNE 18
Team H2Ope will start rolling out of Oceanside, California on June 18 hoping to accomplish our goal of finishing in 7 days! We are looking forward to arriving in Annapolis, Maryland! I know I will be jumping in the Atlantic Ocean and going for a swim!
